Dr. Swapnil Zambre, a preeminent surgeon in the field of minimally invasive and joint preserving surgery, has joined Fortis Hospital, Kalyan. Dr Zambre completed his training in orthopedic surgery from Sion Hospital, Mumbai in 1999. He has had further super-specialty training and then practiced in the UK for over 12 years in some of the leading university hospitals in the UK. He is fellowship-trained in Shoulder and Soft tissue knee and joint replacement surgery. He has extensively treated patients for various sports injuries, primary and revision joint replacement surgeries and combined fracture ligament injuries.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland. He is also a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. he was during his training associated with setting up the upcoming National Ligament Registry in the UK. He has taken special training in partial knee replacement with Prof Levy at the Reading Shoulder Unit, UK.
He dreams it his life’s work to providing leading-edge joint replacement techniques to restore mobility and quality of life of patients. his main focus over the future is on providing early and minimally invasive therapies to prevent the progression of arthritis and relieve pain.
