Dr Amish Hasmukh Udani is a Paediatric Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician at Fortis Hospital Mulund, with more than a decade of experience. Prior to joining Fortis, he worked as a full-time Senior Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist in the Pediatric Nephrology Division at Wadia Hospital, Mumbai, for about 10 years. He is also a Hon. Pediatric Nephrologist with OPD services once a week at CTC, PHO BMT centre, Borivali, Mumbai. He is highly skilled in managing patients with chronic renal failure. So far, he has done six live-related and one cadaveric paediatric renal transplantation.
Dr Udani completed his MBBS from the M.G.M. Medical College, Navi Mumbai in 2002. He did his D.C.H from B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai, in 2005, and then D.N.B (Paediatrics) from Dr B Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, in 2009. After this, he pursued Fellowships in Paediatric Nephrology from Dr Mehta’s Children Hospital, Chennai, in 2010, Indian Society of Pediatric Nephrology in 2010, and The Tamil Nadu Dr M. G. R. Medical University in 2012.
With 14 publications (in indexed international and national journals) to his credit, he has delivered oral and poster paper presentations at various national and international conferences. He has been an author in writing chapters for various textbooks. A founder member of the Kidney Foundation for Children, Mumbai, he is registered as a teacher for Fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology and the DNB Paediatric Nephrology programme.
